A new installment of Teen Mom will be premiering on MTV this August. The stars of Teen Mom 3 arrived in New York City Monday, May 20, to do promotional work for the series. The new cast was reportedly filming after-show segments with Maci Bookout, who was on all four seasons of the original Teen Mom. Incidentally, the name “Maci,” as well as the name of her son, Bentley, showed the greatest increase in frequency from 2010 to 2011, according to the Social Security Administration. MTV hasn’t set an official premiere date just yet, but a recent report claims that it will after shortly after Teen Mom 2 ends. Teen Mom 3 will follow four of the teenage mothers from the fourth season of 16 and Pregnant: 19-year-olds Alexandria Sekella, Briana DeJesus, and Katie Yeager, and 18-year-old Mackenzie Douthit. Teen Mom Confidential reports that the show will premiere toward the end of August and will take over Teen Mom 2‘s 10 pm Monday time slot. Each episode of 16 and Pregnant followed a different girl, who was usually 4 and a half to 8 months into her pregnancy. The episode typically ended a few months after the baby was born. Douthit was featured in the first episode — she was a cheerleader from Miami, Oklahoma, who gave birth to a baby boy by C-section. Yeager, who is from Rocky Springs, Wyoming, and gave birth a to daughter with her live-in boyfriend. DeJesus was from Orlando, and her ex-boyfriend was disitnerested in her pregnancy. She gave birth a to a baby girl. Sekella was an aspiring dancer from Allentown, Pennyslyvania, whose mother wanted her to give the baby up for adoption or else she wouldn’t have a place to live. Her episode ran 90 minutes and ended with her having financial and housing problems because of her decision to keep the baby, a daughter. TGI Fridays locations in New Jersey have been accused of selling cheap booze as premium liquor. State authorities busted 29 bars and restaurants in a sting dubbed “Operation Swill.” These establishments reportedly filled empty bottles of premium liquor with less expensive brands. These fake products were then sold to customers. Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control said these restaurants, including several TGI Fridays locations, were attempting to increase their profits by selling the cheaper products at higher prices. According to The Star-Leger, the investigation into the bogus booze was launched after authorities received numerous complaints from customers. Investigators managed to pinpoint the culprits through the use confidential informants and undercover detectives. New technology reported aided authorities in their quest to bust the perpetrators. The investigation took over a year to complete. Authorities have yet to reveal which premium liquor brands were being faked by these restaurants. However, officials stated that inventories and records were confiscated during the sting. Thirteen TGI Fridays locations were included in recent bust. The Associated Press reports that the company was working with the New Jersey franchisee accused to passing off cheap booze as premium liquor. A spokesperson for the restaurant described the allegations as “serious.” “We have one of the most extensive bar and beverage programs in the industry, which sets a very high standard in the quality and service of our beverages,” TGI Fridays said in a statement. The restaurants in New Jersey are owned and operated by The Briad Group. The company reportedly owns around 70 locations across seven states. Although several news organizations have reached out for comment, reps for The Briad Group have yet to comment on the situation. Jungleboys’ previous venture A Moody Christmas Screen NSW has announced funding for four film and TV projects which it claims will generate more than 1000 jobs. According to the announcement from the state government body, its $974,000 in grants will also create “more than $25 million investment”. Among the TV shows to receive funding is the follow-up to A Very Moody Christmas, The Moodys, from production company Jungleboys. Screen NSW claims that its $200,000 grant will be responsible for 274 jobs and lead to production spend of $3.5m on the ABC comedy. The funding was given to the projects through Screen NSW’s Production Finance Fund and Regional Filming Fund. According to the announcement, the “four new film and television projects… will together generate more than $25 million investment and 1,015 jobs for the State”. George Souris, Minister for the Arts, said in the announcement: ”The follow-up to the hugely popular series A Moody Christmas, is slated for Sydney and the NSW South Coast supporting 274 jobs and a production spend of more than $3.35 million.” One of the projects, a film called Backtrack, will be written, directed and produced by Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Rite writer Michael Petroni. This is Petroni’s first work in Australia since 2002′s Till Human Voices Wake Us. Souris said Backtrack would support 520 jobs and have a production spend of more than $6 million. The other works include international TV comedy/drama Camp, starring Rachel Griffiths, and a Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder documentary called Two Men in China.
