Here is a quick round up of the some of the other attendees at the ‘La Venus a la Fourrure’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening. Audrey Tautou: The mistress of ceremonies wears her third strapless dress of this festival, this time selecting a black pleated and tiered frock styled with black ankle strap sandals. It’s my least favourite of the three, as it somewhat overwhelms her petite frame. Bianca Balti: Providing some glamour to the occasion, Bianca wore a Dolce & Gabbana red fully beaded gown with a black lace underlay, styling her look with statement earrings, a hot red lip colour and a slick back bun. Nicole Kidman made her fourth red carpet appearance as a juror of Cannes Film Festival this evening, attending the ‘La Venus a la Fourrure’ premiere. She’s had many BDOTY worthy moments from this festival, in fact each of the first three looks will battle for a place in my end of year list; however, this one will not be joining them. The actress joins Tilda Swinton in selecting a look from the Chanel Resort 2014 collection. While I don’t hate her white sequined dress with a silk tulle black-and-white ruffle hemline styled with a bejewelled belt, it didn’t leave me gasping for air like the other three. Had it been longer, possibly. Or had it been sans ruffles, also possibly, but then the dress would have nothing dramatic to speak of. It would just be a white sequined dress, and lord knows we’ve seen plenty of those. The red Christian Louboutin ‘Decollete 554′ pumps however really enhance the overall look. Zhang Ziyi also wore a dramatic gown with more coverage on the red carpet this evening for the ‘La Venus a la Fourrure’ premiere during Cannes Film Festival. The Asian beauty looked heavenly wearing an Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture look, which is the third look from this collection that I can check off my wish list. The breathtaking lilac fully embellished gown with three-quarter length sleeves was accented with a tonal leather belt. Opting to utilize the pockets on her gown, she opted to go sans clutch, completing her look with Boucheron jewels and an Omega watch. Beautywise – flawless. I love that she ended with a princess moment. No one serves you better for this moment than Mr. Saab. Emmanuelle Seigner took to the red carpet this evening for the premiere of ‘La Venus a La Fourrure’ during Cannes Film Festival. This is one red gown that didn’t fade into the red carpet. The actress wore a custom Alexandre Vauthier low-cut silk jersey gown which she styled with red Christian Louboutin sandals. Her daring gown instantly made me think of Blake Lively (before coming Mrs. Reynolds) because like Emmanuelle, Blake didn’t follow the legs or boobs rule. I love the daring nature of the gown and Emmanuelle’s ‘if you’ve got it, flaunt it’ attitude. However, there are so many pictures of her looking down at her boobs to ensure she did not suffer a wardrobe malfunction, one has to wonder how comfortable she was in the dress. Love or loathe? Tilda Swinton finally graced the Cannes Film Festival with her presence, attending the ‘Only Lovers Left Alive’ photocall at Palais des Festival in France this afternoon. You won’t be surprised to see that she wore an androgynous look, but you may be surprised that is not her favoured designer Haider Ackermann. On this occasion Tilda wore a Chanel Resort 2014 look, our first look at this collection off the runway – an honour usually reserved for Diane Kruger. Tilda looked very elegant wearing a slightly flared navy jacket accented with three ‘CC’ buttons which she styled with wide-legged white pants. Opting to go sans makeup, she swept her hair back off her face to complete her look. I wonder which delight she will bring forth this evening. She didn’t wear Dior; instead she selected an Alexander McQueen strapless jumpsuit from the Resort 2013 collection, which she styled with navy glitter pumps. I love the mirrored hummingbird and floral print, but I’m not sure I love what this look is doing to her legs. A more streamlined look would’ve been preferred. If you love acid wash, crop tops and mesh, you're in luck: Rihanna’s second collection for River Island launches today. The summer line embodies the 90s grunge-meets-hip-hop trend at it’s finest. From printed jumpsuits to mesh skirts, this collection is not for ladies who like to shop at Gap. In fact, Rihanna specifically designed the collection for her and her friends. She claims that the clothing is for days when she doesn’t feel so confident (which is hard to imagine, considering she just posted a picture of herself wearing a denim thong on Instagram). In a video about the collection, the singer-turned-designer admitted: I needed to make clothes for fat days that I have. I wanted to make clothes that I want to wear, I was being selfish. But hopefully my fans and the River Island customers will have the same taste. Sorry Rihanna, but we don’t know anyone who wants to wear a denim crop top on their fat days. However, there are people out there who admire singer’s fearless style, because as several items from her first collection sold out almost instantly.
