When you are out having a great time on Halloween, chances are you aren’t already worrying about cleaning your costume once you get home. In fact, you are probably much more concerned with making sure your costume looks perfect to really even think about the cleaning you will have to do. If you are renting your awesome Halloween costume as many do, this lack of concern can end up costing you quite a bit of money, especially so if the costume comes back smelling like it spent the night in an ashtray and if you are a smoker, that is generally exactly how your costume will smell.
Tough to Avoid
For the most part, while adults to dress up for a bit of fun when handing out candy, most adults tend to dress up because they are heading to a party of some sort. Whether you are going to a club to participate in the costume contest or you are just heading over to a buddy’s house for his annual Halloween Party, there will be plenty of chances to spill something on your costume and it is going to be pretty tough to avoid cigarette smoke. The only person you truly have control of is yourself, so during these times, it will be up to you to avoid spilling and smoking yourself.
Social Situation
As a smoker, chances are that social situations stir up those cigarette cravings. If you smoke while wearing your costume, you are opening the door for the costume to be damaged by cigarette burns, smoke, and depending on your make up and costume choice, possibly even more severe burns. By using an electronic cigarette, nicotine gum, or even a patch for the night, you can avoid ever even having to smoke in your costume, taking away from the possibility of you causing damage that will cost you money.
You can’t control the actions of others and even if you take care of your costume as well as you possibly can, things may still happen. However, you don’t need to bring that costume back smelling like an ashtray! Instead, use a smoking alternative on Halloween night. Not only can you use the smoking alternatives pretty much anywhere, you can avoid some potentially costly fees. So, switch over to an alternative, even if it is just for the night, and get that deposit money back into your pocket.
