Just off the buzzing path of Canal Street, New York City’s most infamous thoroughfare for knockoff watches, lies ‘Opening Ceremony’, one the cities finest, and most exclusive boutique shops. And once again, “OC” has teamed up with adidas Originals, for their 3rd shoe collaboration. This round the two retail outfits were heavily influenced by traditional rock climbing footwear. The line is comprised of two entirely, but equally enticing looks – the first being the, OC ENFR Rock. Taking a play out of the original adidas Enforcer hoop shoe, this high-top features side cut outs, a removable neoprene sock, and lace hooks to boot, giving it a rugged yet relaxed look. In the two-hole, is the ‘OC Rock Mocc’, that dons a much more classic climbing silhouette. With a drawstring lace construction and nearly seamless nubuck upper, this low cut moccasin can be proudly rocked without having any understanding for meaning of, “on belay.” Check out the pics after the jump and see if you dig it. Nike drops the anticipated Nike Air Force 1 Blazer Pack at select retailers. Only being 2 of the 5 part “Blazer Pack”, Nike releases these two Air Force 1s suited up in a genuine suede coating. Since basketball is still in play after last night’s incredible performance, makes sense that both pairs of the Blazer Pack can represent either the NBA East or West. Well, that is what we would like to think they represent. The Hyper Blue & University Red is coated from heel to toe in Nike’s genuine suede. The white detailing around the heel, bottom sole, and the signature swoosh are all styled up with leather. A nice touch on these Air Force 1′s is the same coloring of the AIR wording on the side of the sole bottom. Releasing at retail at $90 each, the two pairs out of the Nike “Blazer Pack” will be releasing this Saturday at select retailers such as Wish. By now, all you sneakerheads should be well aware of the “Denim” Nike LeBron X EXT release which is scheduled to go down this Saturday. While the upcoming EXT model will surely be a huge retail hit, let’s not forget about the “Black Denim” sample pair that has been floating around. This alternate sample version sports a darker shade of denim throughout its upper along with a dope crackled pattern about its vibrant fireberry midsole. Unlike its “Denim” EXT counterpart, this particular pair of sample LeBrons looks like it was created especially for the King himself. As nice as they are to look at, there is one fact that still remains. That being that they will not be hitting retailers. With that being said, how do you sneakerheads feel about this “Black Denim” sample? Should these be releasing instead of the pair coming this Saturday? A spin-off label from bag label PORTER, HEAD PORTER will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. Itself the product of an ongoing collaboration between PORTER’s parent company, Yoshida & Co., and influencer Hiroshi Fujiwara, the popular sub-brand will be introducing a series of limited 15th anniversary edition products, including this “nested” bag collection. Designed by B Jirushi Yoshida and Kogi “Poggy” Motofumi, director at Japanese retail giant UNITED ARROWS, the collection starts off with “Tanker” Attache Case. Covered in HEAD PORTER’s signature nylon taffeta in black and offset by navy accents, the case features a similar nylon taffeta covering on its interior, except this time in the color of emergency orange. The quartet of new styles are built with a perforated ripstop upper, breathable mesh tongue and contrast hued mesh toe, as well as the chunky Motion midsole in white and nylon pull loops at the heel. Adidas has been working pretty hard lately with the Real Deal lineup. The year is half over and the Real Deal series has already 7+ color-ways lined up that are supposed to drop at various times throughout the year. The Adidas Real Deal “Pastels” colorway is planning to make it’s debut around Fall season. Seeming more like an Easter color theme, the “Pastels” colorway sports a trio of pastel colors very colorfully. The teal theme around the upper, pink laces and logo, and the blue mid-sole, all have a contribution in creating an Easter like ambiance around the sneaker. This Real Deal colorway is one of the lighter/brighter ones out of the rest of the releases that are occurring this year. Just like some of the other Real Deal color-ways, there is no set date yet on release but we do believe Fall 2013 is the scheduled release. Put away your flip flops and grab a pair of lightweight canvas kicks from Vans Surf. The release comes in the form of three new colorways of the Chauffeur, a boat shoe hybrid that that sits on a flexible vulcanized rubber outsole and comes equipped with a cushy removable footbed. The shoe comes in an ’80s-inspired tri-color style, white canvas with palm print and an ombre colorway with blue that fades to brown. Ace Hotel is opening a new location this September in Shoreditch, London, which also happens to be its first European destination. Alex Calderwood, hotelier and owner of Ace, is remodeling an old hotel in partnership with Universal Design Studios. It would be interesting to see how they makeover the old space.
