In its first major movie tie-in, Warby Parker collaborated with studio Legendary Pictures, DC Comics, and Warner Bros. for a limited eyewear collection based on the forthcoming summer blockbuster, Man of Steel. Inspired by glasses worn by characters Clark Kent (aka Superman) and his love interest Lois Lane, the line features bold acetate frames with subtle design cues from the movie. You can select from the Chamberlain, a square-rimmed frame in black with a dash of royal blue at the temple arm, or Percey, a round tortoiseshell frame with a pop of red. Each to have a special “Warby Parker x Man of Steel” engraving running along the inside of the right arm. Comes in sizings for either man or woman, both designs are available now for $95 with prescription lenses. And for each purchase, Warby Parker will donate $15 to charity 826NYC, a non-profit organization in support of student writing skills between the age of 6 to 18. In the meantime, Man of Steel will be in theaters nationwide on June 14th. After collaborating earlier this year on the Nike Air Max 1 “Animal Camo” Pack, Atmos looks to be hooking up again with Nike, this time on a Nike Free Woven. As with their collaboration that dropped this February, this set features both a Men’s and Women’s iteration; the Men’s features a black woven upper with snakeskin accents, atop a white Free sole; the Women’s also features a black woven upper and, like its Air Max 1 sister, leopard camo accents, atop a red Free sole. Details on this pack are slim at the moment, but you can be sure Sneaker Files will keep you updated as info becomes available. Set to release later this year, hopefully this pack will see a stateside release, but if it’s like the Air Max 1 “Animal Camo” Pack release, it’ll only be available at Atmos Tokyo, unfortunately. We can hope though, can’t we? Missing out on the Air Max 1 “Snakeskin Camo” was one of the biggest disappointments of the year for this writer, but alas, life goes on; new sneakers to cop, new fish to fry… Hoping for a US release of this Atmos x Nike collaboration? Following the dark grey/teal edition of their Free Alt Closure Run, Nike gear up to send another schmick scheme out into the sneakersphere. Featuring a black elasticised exoskeleton cage over the upper, these grey mesh bandits double up on the lock-down with a webbed layer of bright blue Hyperfuse taping. Finished of with a 4.0 Free sole, these free motion running socks are a tight package for all lightweight freaky sneaker fans. Spanish shoe brand Camper has opened a new Nendo-designed store in New York City that makes interesting use of the white walls surrounding the large, airy space. Thousands of white shoes — replicas of the Camper Pelota model — protrude in uniform rows, the toes pointed outward. Japanese design studio Nendo wanted to create the illusion that each shoe, made from resin, was “walking on air,” while also creating the impression of an “orderly stockroom.” Actual shoes are displayed on clean white platforms distributed throughout the floor, though some share space on the walls with their faux white counterparts. Having already amassed an insane amount of acclaim largely due in part to the return of the Ewing 33 Hi Retro, Ewing Athletics has managed to breath new life into a line that dominated the sneaker scene back in the ’90′s. With the Ewing 33 Hi model setting the tone, the good folks over at Ewing Athletics have yet another retro gem on their hands as they are prepping for the summer release of the Ewing Focus retro. Posted after the jump is a look at a vintage Ewing Athletics Japanese catalog from 1993. In the catalog is a plethora of Ewing heat. From a vast variety of colors in the Ewing 33 Hi model to the various stylings of the Key Mid model, this vintage catalog is filled with nothing but bonafide classics. Now that two models from Ewings signature line have gotten the green light, could this vintage catalog be just a glimpse at what we could possibly see from Ewing Athletics in the future? For sneakerheads who have been awaiting some sort of release update in regards to any of the Nike LeBron X EXT’s. After countless switches in release information, we’ve finally got some concrete release information to share with all you sneakerheads. The Nike LeBron X “Black/Mint”, the Nike LeBron X “Denim” and the Nike LeBron X “Brown Suede” will be arriving at European shops next month. Set to release first is the “Black/Mint” colorway which is tentatively scheduled to release on June 10th with the “Denim” pair set to arrive on June 22nd and the “Brown Suede” pair penciled in for a July 6th release.
