Robin Meade‘s a busy woman. Her new album, “Count On Me” hit stores today, tomorrow night she’ll be feted at a release party in New York City, this weekend she’ll be co-hosting the daytime Emmys, and soon she’ll be providing news updates for a morning show on NASH-FM, a new country music radio station in New York. A source tells TVNewser, Meade will be providing news updates on “America’s Morning Show” during the commercial breaks of her own HLN show “Morning Express.” Even though it serves a New York audience, the radio show will originate live in front of a studio audience in Nashville and will be hosted by Blair Garner, Terri Clark, Sunny Sweeney, Chuck Wicks and Lee Ann Womack. Cumulus Media Names Blair Garner Lead Host of WNSH, New York’s Morning Show.  Dubbed, “America’s Morning Show,” the program on “Nash FM 94.7” will also feature Terri Clark, Sunny Sweeney, Chuck Wicks, and Lee Ann Womack.  Blair Garner has been rumored to be headed for this gig for some time and now it’s official.  Cumulus says the program “will feature a mix of country hits, in-studio interviews with country music’s biggest stars and news about the country lifestyle – with New York City area traffic, weather and information updated throughout the show. “America’s Morning Show” will originate live from Nashville before a studio audience, with frequent broadcasts from ‘Nash FM 94.7’ studios in New York City.”  Cumulus EVP and COO John Dickey says, “The collection of talent assembled for ‘America’s Morning Show’ is without equal.  This show will bring the superstars of country to listeners in an authentic, entertaining way not done before.”  In a statement, Garner says, “I am thrilled to begin waking up the New York area’s country listeners on ‘Nash FM 94.7’ with an uplifting country start to the day.  New Yorkers are embracing Nash FM in an amazing way and I look forward to bringing the country music lifestyle to the Big Apple straight from Nashville.” Beasley Announces Ruben Perez New Promotions and Non-Traditional Revenue Director for Fort Myers Cluster.  Ruben Perez moves from Beasley Broadcasting’s hip hop WPOW, Miami “Power 96” to the company’s five station Fort Myers cluster that includes AC WJPT “Sunny 106,” CHR WXKB “B103.9,” talk WRXK “96 K-Rock,” rock WJBX “99X,” and sports talk WWCN.  The company says Perez will be “responsible for the coordination and execution of all promotions for the stations in the Fort Myers-Naples market.  Additionally, he is charged with creating and implementing large-scale community events such as festivals and concerts that bring awareness to – and non-traditional revenue for – Beasley’s SW Florida cluster.”   Vice president and market manager Brad Beasley states, “Ruben brings a wealth of radio knowledge and experience to our Southwest Florida team.  We believe his abilities to generate large-scale events and brands will greatly benefit both our listeners and advertisers.” Ashley Dingess Appointed Social Media Manager for Emmis’ KPWR, Los Angeles.  Ashley Dingess comes to Emmis’ rhythmic CHR KPWR, Los Angeles “Power 106” from Clear Channel’s crosstown alternative KYSR and hot AC KBIG where she was content producer.  Vice president of programming and Emmis digital PD Jimmy Steal says, “We met with a lot of qualified candidates for this important position and Ashley clearly led the pack with her strategic and creative solutions.  We are thrilled to have her join our team, her energy and enthusiasm is contagious.”  Dingess begins her new post on June 17 and she comments, “I’m happy to be joining ‘Power 106’ as their social media manager.  I am excited to use my experience and knowledge to help make ‘Power 106’ shine on every social media platform.” Kwame Dankwa Returns to WZRT, Rutland, Vermont.  Kwame Dankwa recently left his nights and imaging position at Clear Channel’s CHR KWNW, Memphis “Radio Now 101.9” to return to New England to be near a sick relative.  Now, he returns to Pamal’s CHR WZRT, Rutland “Z97.1” to the program director position.  He says, “Thank you to my good friends at Pamal Broadcasting for being supportive and welcoming me back with open arms.  This has been very stressful time for my family and I am grateful to have a (radio) home to come back too.”  The station’s operations manager Terry J adds, “When Kwame left us we knew we would have the pleasure of working together sometime in the future.  We just didn’t know it would be this soon. Earlier this year, Longview, Texas native Sunny Sweeney was nominated for the Academy of Country Music’s New Female Vocalist of the Year Award. Previously signed to both Big Machine Records and its sister label Republic Nashville, Sweeney released two critically acclaimed albums: Heartbreaker’s Hall of Fame and Concrete. The latter album featured the Top 10 hit “From a Table Away,” which was the highest charting Billboard debut single from a female country artist in four years.
